Top Ten Tuesday: Favorite Movies and TV Shows

For today’s Top Ten Tuesday, hosted by The Broke and The Bookish, we are asked to list our favorite movies or television shows. I’m always afraid of leaving something off these types of lists. I should note, I’m not offering up any reason as to why they are my favorites. It’s a bit like having to answer as to why I married my husband. I love him, and the answer is as simple and as complicated as all that. For me, favorite is a feeling, not (necessarily) a value judgement. So without further ado:

  1. The Wire and Mad Man are shows I’ve never seen, but I’m interested in… and can you believe I’ve never seen any of your top five movies! I really feel like I don’t watch t.v. and movies like I used to! I just don’t have the time! Great lists! 🙂

  2. I don’t think I’ve seen any of these, except in passing. But I agree, a favorite just is a favorite. ‘Because’ is always a good answer. 😉

  3. It’s funny how when some people ask me in passing what kinds of shows I like to watch or books I like to read, I’d tell them that I sci-fi is a genre of interest. But then when I consider whether or not I’ve seen anything from franchises like Star Trek or Battlestar Galactica…it’s a resounding negative. So odd. I’m considering impulse watching the two recent Star Trek movies just for the hell of it but I always cop out for something else haha. At least I’ve seen most of the Star Wars movie (which I thought was the same thing as Trek for the longest time when I was a kid).

    Cheers,
